What to expect at the Essex Inn

The Essex Inn has a seven-day cancellation policy.  If you must cancel your reservation, please do so at least one week prior to your arrival. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee equal to 100% of your reservation fee.  Extenuating circumstances will be considered on an individual basis and any refunds of the fee will be at the discretion of the Essex Inn.

 

Check in time is between 4pm and 7pm.  Early or late check-ins may be arranged prior to your arrival. Early Check In is sometimes available.  Please contact us directly for that option and availability.

Check out time is 11:00 am.  Late check out is sometimes available.  Please contact us directly for that option and availability.

 

Children are welcome when staying with at least one parent.  Please note that rooms in the main house have a maximum occupancy of 2 people.  Our suites located separately from the main house are recommended for families traveling with children.

 

Pets are not allowed in the main house (201-204); however well-behaved pets are allowed in the suites located separtely from the main house (205-2011).  Guest assumes responsibility for any damages.  All pets must remain on a leash and please be sure to clean up after your pet.  An additional pet fee of $20 per night will apply.

Please let us know prior to your arrival if you have any food allergies or special dietary requirements.  Breakfast is served daily from 8-9:30 am.

 

All guest rooms at the Essex Inn are strictly nonsmoking.  Smoking is only permitted outside in designated areas.

We encourage guests staying in the Main House to use our gravel parking area in the front on Duke Street, and guests staying in the Suites to use the private gravel parking lot located behind the main house, accessible from Water Lane.
