The Yellow Room
Located in the Main House, lovely pale yellow with green accents make this a serene, yet cheery room. A cozy room with a four- post queen bed and a private tiled bathroom with tub/shower. Curl up in a chair by the original 1851 fireplace in the soft terry-cloth robes provided and read a good book or watch TV. The fireplace captures and recreates a Victorian era coal fire behind a beautifully restored period cast iron fire insert. Looking out from the window, guests can view an historic tavern dating back to the late 1700's currently undergoing renovation.
The Red Room
Located in the main house, the color has been described as brick, watermelon and every shade of orange-red in between! The feel is somewhat masculine, but very traditional, with a bit of a "classic library" mix. Make sure to take a good look at the characters above the beautifully restored fireplace with state of the art gas logs. Four-poster queen bed, private tiled bathroom with tub/shower, and a working gas fireplace. This attractive room offers a view of our gardens and courtyard, as well as an historic church.
The Beige Room
Located in the main house, this inviting room is restful and calming, with creamy beige walls. Decorated in shades of green and peach, this room is quite large and airy. The matching wing chairs are perfect for relaxing before bedtime. The four-poster king bed is an invitation for a good night's sleep, and the recently restored fireplace with state of the art gas logs adds to the ambiance. There is a private tiled bathroom with tub/shower. The corner windows offer a great view of the neighborhood and the beautiful sunrises over the river!
The Blue Room
Located in the main house and Reba McEntire's choice when she stayed with us, the blue room with red accents is one of the largest, and the colors give it a most regal, colonial feel. The four-poster king bed is inviting and comfy. and a working gas fireplace. There are lovely French-style chairs for relaxing or watching TV and a private tiled bathroom with tub/shower. From the windows, guests can enjoy views of our gardens and courtyard, as well as an historic church across the street.
The Laundry Suite
The Laundry Suite was a part of the original 1840's Slave Quarter and still contains the original large fireplace with a warming gas log fire and authentic, period laundry related antiques. There is a private entrance, living room and kitchen with bistro-style table on the main floor. The upstairs bedroom features a queen bed, nicely appointed in welcoming shades of green and rose. The bathroom is off the bedroom with a tub/shower. This smaller suite is well suited to a couple or a single person, though the small couch downstairs can be used as a bed for younger children. Charming decor and vintage laundry accouterments add to its ambiance. Pet friendly
The Kitchen Suite
This suite was part of the original Slave Quarter, built before the main house in the 1840's. Once the property's kitchen, it still contains the original fireplace, now with beautiful gas logs, complete with iron swing arm that used to hold pots over the fire, as well as many period antiques which would have been used in food preparation. This Suite has a private entrance, living room with day bed and kitchen on the main floor. The bedroom with queen bed and bathroom with tub/shower are upstairs. A blue and cream color scheme with green accents and many vintage kitchen items add to the charm. Pet friendly
The Downstairs Suite
This large, airy suite is located on the ground level with a private entrance which is ideal for guests who wish to stay all on the ground level. The living room has a very comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa, electric fireplace and a dining table that also makes a great work space. There is a full kitchen with a door to an outdoor patio area. The adjacent bedroom features a queen bed, dressing table and sitting area, as well as the private bathroom with tub/shower. Pet friendly
The Upstairs Suite
This is our largest, roomiest suite and offers guests the most privacy. The private entrance opens on to a staircase that leads to the Suite, located entirely on the second floor. The suite features plenty of light and is cheerfully decorated in reds, yellows and touches of green. There is a sofa in the living room, a full kitchen, and a bedroom that features a king size bed and electric fireplace. The private bathroom with full tub/shower opens off the bedroom.
